FLEX Alumni Coordinators Sanira-Begim Mamatova ’13 (Blackduck, MN/ Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) and Anjela Pakhlajian ’10 (Akron, OH/Tbilisi, Georgia) are the winners of 2014 FLEX Alumni Database Update Rally. Alumni Coordinators were given the challenge to update as many alumni records as possible between the dates of July 15-August 17, 2014. The winners of the rally were chosen based on the overall number of alumni updates in the database and the most updates of senior alumni, who are considered alumni of the program years 1994 – 2007.
This year the rally was very competitive and Alumni Coordinators updated over 9000 alumni records, including alumni contact, education, and employment information. While reaching out to their alumni communities, coordinators also met alumni who are not currently involved in activities and encouraged them to attend events and share their personal and professional successes.
The top record updater, Sanira-Begim, updated a total of 3464 records. The update rally also helped the coordinator become the July 2014 winner of the Alumni Coordinator of the month. Sanira-Begim organized many outstanding activities and also received high scores for the number of alumni successes that she submitted. Anjela, the winner of the senior alumni update award, made 2777 updates in the database, 1211 of which were for senior alumni. Both of the alumnae will receive a $100 honorarium from American Councils for their success.
FLEX alumni are always encouraged to share their updates and successes by completing the update survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/FLEXDBUpdate or by writing to the FLEX Alumni team directly at flexalumni@americancouncils.org
