Posting information about one’s personal life can be potentially dangerous for social media users and their families. The participants learned how and when to use privacy settings and the kind of information that is not safe to post on social media based on specific examples from Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. An overview of social media use in Armenia was presented as well.
After the project, participants shared the information that they learned with their peers and family members. Based on the results of the program survey, the vast majority of the participants found the trainings useful in their professional and personal lives.
Shushanna’s project was funded through the South Caucasus FLEX-Ability Workshop grant program. At the workshop she received information about social media and was inspired to conduct her own activity.
