The FLEX Alumni community in Moldova started 2021 off with a big surprise – the launch of the very first FLEX Podcast. FLEX Alumni Coordinator, Vlada Mangir ’19 (Chisinau, Moldova/Krum, TX), has been working with alumni across the country on this project and after many months of preparation the first episode of the podcast was released on January 11.
The podcast is dedicated to connecting FLEX Alumni worldwide and serves as a learning tool about the FLEX Program to those who want to discover more about this unique exchange opportunity. The pilot episode focuses on introducing the FLEX Moldova team, as well as some 2020 alumni that recently returned from the U.S. For future episodes of the podcast the alumni are preparing tips and tricks for a successful year on the program, how to engage their local community, and how to share what you learned on FLEX when you return home. Special guests are expected, such as the U.S. Ambassador to Moldova and senior alumni who are leaders in their professional fields.
The alumni want to inspire listeners who haven’t applied to take part in FLEX and support senior alumni longing to reminisce about their exchange experiences in the States.
The first episode, which you can listen to here, was downloaded over 50 times on its first day live. You can also find the Flex Alumni Moldova Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Breaker, Google Podcasts, and RadioPublic. Make sure to follow this new podcase and like their social media posts at @FlexAlumniMoldova. Questions and suggestions for future episodes are always welcome!
