Animal Shelter Assistance: On December 13, City Representative Lyubov Mylymuk ’14 organized a fundraising event in her community to collect items needed at the Kalush Animal Shelter. The community donated insulation to protect the dogs from the cold of winter and food items. As a follow up to this project, the alumna and her team of volunteers visited the shelter to photograph the dogs and place their picture and a description of the dog, its needs, and its ability to be adopted on a social media site. Many animals in shelters have no chance of being adopted simply because the picture of the animal is blurred or not available for viewing and people want to see an animal’s picture before making it a pet.
