On May 3, in Budesti, Moldova 35 participants of the School of Local Leaders project visited the mayor of Budesti Nina Costiuc. Participants visited the city’s youth center, new lyceum, horse stock farm, and a renovated kindergarten. To thank the hosts for their hospitality, the students demonstrated volunteer spirit and initiative by planting more than 20 trees in the new park. During May the group also completed their final personal development trainings and developed and launched nine community service projects. On May 25, all project partners joined participants and their families to celebrate the completion of the program. Participants received certificates for successfully completing this non-official School of Local Leaders, and expressed thanks for such a wonderful opportunity.
